are so many other fun things to do as well like dancing. You
should never neglect your school work by surfing the Net instead.

Never give out your name, age, telephone
number, address,

name and names

team and clubs you belong to, or any other identifiable information.

It
is safe to give out your nickname, the country you live in
and email address only if your parent or guardian has told
you it is OK e.g. an email address from a free email account.
6.
Never
give out your Internet password to anyone (even your best
friends) other than your parent or guardian.
7.
Always stay away from sites that say they are for people over
18 only. The warnings are there to protect you. Adult sites
can sometimes cost a lot more on your Internet bill too.
8.
Don't buy or order anything online without asking permission
from a parent or guardian or give out any credit card information
or your bank details.
9.
Don't enter competitions or contests without asking permission
from a parent or guardian first.
10.
Never
open or reply to emails from strangers; attachments could
contain viruses or other programmes which would destroy all
the information and software on your computer.
11.
Never put your photograph on the Internet.
12.
Don't download anything without your parent or guardian's
help or permission.
13.
Always check with your parent or guardian that it is OK to
be in a chat room.
14.
Always be very careful in chat rooms. Even if it says it is
only for children, there is no way to tell if everyone in
the chat room is a child. It might be an adult or an older
child trying to trick you.
15.
Don't believe everything a person you meet online says about
themselves.
16.
Never agree to get together with someone you meet online without
checking with your parent or guardian first. If they agree
to the meeting, it should in a public place and with a parent
or guardian present.
17.
In a chat room, if anyone asks something you do not like or
you come across material that makes you feel uneasy, exit
the chatroom and tell your parent or guardian immediately.
18.
Don't get into an argument or fight with anyone online. If
someone tries to start an argument or fight, don't answer
but tell a parent or guardian.
19.
If anyone you meet online sends you anything, tell your parent
or guardian.
20.
Never send anything to anyone you meet online, unless your
parent or guardian says it is OK.
