So
that evening, after dinner, Nina went through first
the exercises they did each week and then the part of
the dance they had learnt so far. She used her bookcase
as a barre and the mirror over her dressing table to
see if she looked the same as Miss Hunt when she danced.
|
Her
room wasn't big enough to do some of the moves they did in
class, but she could always use the playground at school the
next day.
Nina
practised it as much as she could that week, both at home
and in the playground, trying to remember how to do each step
correctly and what movement came next.
Nina
was so pleased at her class the following week when her teacher
noticed that she had been practising.
"Nina,"
Miss Hunt said, "You've been practising, haven't you?"
"Yes,"
Nina replied, with a big, proud smile on her face.
"Well
it certainly shows, so keep up the good work."
