Nina's First Exam Through the glare of the stage lights Nina could just make out the many rows of faces, as she pirouetted her way through the final scenes of Swan Lake.

She was dancing better than she ever danced before, leaping and turning to the wonderful music as the show drew to an end. Nina held her final position and there was a moment of silence before the crowd erupted in wild applause. Nina grinned happily as she curtseyed and blew kisses to all the people who had come to watch her. But through the applause she could hear another sound, one not quite so nice as the sound of clapping…

“Nina….Nina! NINA!”

All of a sudden Nina was back in her classroom and realised that she had been staring out of the window for as long as she could remember. And what made it worse was that Mrs Paget, her new school teacher, was staring at her and was definitely not looking very happy.
